It's Tulip Time again

It's Tulip Time again here in Holland. The fireworks were cancelled Friday and Saturday night due to rain so we're not sure if we'll have them this year or not. I especially like the fireworks since while everyone crowds downtown to see them.... we can see them from our front yard and we'll just get some chairs and sit in the driveway to watch.

Last year we did all 3 parades, Kinderplaats .... I think we did it all. This year I'm planning on at least 2 parades and we did do Kinderplaats last Saturday. I'll post pictures when I can. The tulips were definitely not as abundant as last year which is a shame because I LOVE tulips.

I stopped and got the kids their first elephant ear yesterday...Mia didn't really eat her part but Mason scarfed it down. He said, "elephant ears are too good". Fried dough with butter sugar and cinnamon, what's not to love?
